Mr. Baikuntha Nath Sahu is currently serving as Deputy Registrar at the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur (IIT Jodhpur). He holds a Post-Graduate degree in Physics (I.M.Sc.) from the National Institute of Technology Rourkela (NIT Rourkela)

Mr. Sahu began his career in higher education administration in 2017 as Assistant Registrar at Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, a Deemed-to-be University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. In 2020, he joined IIT Jodhpur, where he has since served with distinction and progressively taken on responsibilities across a wide range of institutional functions.

His professional contributions and achievements have been recognized through several prestigious awards and honours. He was conferred the “Staff Meritorious Award (Group-A)–2025” by IIT Jodhpur in recognition of his meritorious performance on the occasion of the Foundation Day–2025. He was also awarded the “Young Achiever Award–2022” by NIT Rourkela for his outstanding contribution to Public Administration, during the Diamond Jubilee Global Alumni Meet–2022. I

Mr. Sahu is a Life Member of the Indian Society for Training and Development (ISTD), reflecting his sustained commitment to professional learning and development. He is the recipient of a Visiting Research Scholar Fellowship from the University of HawaiĘ»i, USA. In 2018, his proposal was selected under Category-C of the Citizen Science Initiative using Foldscope, a collaborative initiative of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, and Prakash Lab, Stanford University, USA.

With over nine years of professional experience in higher education administration, Mr. Sahu has handled diverse responsibilities across several key functional areas, including Establishment & Recruitment (Non Faculty), Staff Training Cell, Liaison Officer (Labour Laws), CPIO–RTIInternational Relations, Alumni Relations, Corporate Relations, Office of Resources & Planning, CPIO–RTI, Internal Audit, Research & Development, Training Cell, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), Examination, and Academic Administration. He has also made significant contributions through his participation in various important institutional committees and strategic initiatives.
